Let’s cover the basics! I am a 30 something year old Black woman who has been a consumer within the Beauty and Wellness community since the age of almost 9. I started off being a young girl getting her hair done in the kitchen alongside a gas flame stove with the smell of burning hair as my candle scent of choice. Around age 9 (maybe sooner), my father took me to my first salon appointment. There was a receptionist desk, corded phone line and dare I say…an appointment book and pen. So yes, I been in this game for a while and can see the clear shift in what was once an enjoyable and milestone experience as young girl to an recurring battle of egregious, delusional, squid game battle of BFFR (be f**cking forreal)!
My goal is to build an online community that invites transparency on all topics related to being a consumer in the Beauty and Wellness industry. Let’s talk about the pain points but never forgetting the professionals that have been there through all our birthdays, graduations, post breakup, engagements, and life milestones (no matter how big or small).
Some of the topics that will be discussed in this blog:
- Pink List – I’m Booking
- Black List – I’m Not Booking
- Let’s Agree to Disagree
- Policies and Procedures and more…
Remember to share, laugh, learn and leave a comment below of what topics you would love to discuss.

I love this and can’t wait to see what you are going to talk about. As a black woman, this is hilarious, “I’m Not Booking”!
